The iconic Quinta chair is constructed with a steel rod frame and folded perforated sheet-metal seat and back-rest. Designed in 1985, this iconic chair shows the influence of Botta's mentors including Le Corbusier, Louis Kahn and Carlo Scarpa.
Born in 1943 in Mendrisio, Switzerland, award-winning architect-designer Mario Botta has built an international reputation for striking postmodern public and private spaces that blend classical forms with a contemporary sensibility.
