An important figure in "Neues Deutsches Design" (New German Design) movement of the 1980's, Siebrasse began making furniture at the age of 16 and still makes works today. In 1986, Siebrasse and his partner Rainer Schenk cofounded the "confrontation - Art & Design" group and started the "Avant-garde Design Center" at the Cologne international Furniture Fair, when they first showed their furniture
