From a hand crafted limited series by Atelier Christoph Siebrasse, the Sensilla chair was designed by Christoph R Siebrasse to swing freely in all directions - the first of its kind. Four cables hold the layered steel and felt seat creating a feeling of suspension.
This rare piece can be found in a number of museums including the Museum of Applied Arts, Cologne, and to date has a limited production of 150.
An important figure in “Neues deutsches Design” [New German Design] movement of the 1980's, Siebrasse began making furniture at the age of 16 and still makes works today. In 1986, Siebrasse and his partner Rainer Schenk cofounded the "Confrontation Art & Design" group and started the "Avant-garde Design Center" at the Cologne International Furniture Fair, where they first exhibited.
